The National Archives does not hold any records for passenger arrivals after 1989. If you arrived in Australia after 1989, you need to request your arrival details from the Department of Home Affairs by submitting a request for international movement records.
Processing time Your application will take up to 14 days to process. You will receive an email with a . pdf attachment showing the requested period. If no record is found, you will receive an email stating there is no record.
You can request your travel records in and out of Australia using Form 1359 Request for international movement records (280KB PDF) from the Department of Home Affairs. The records will only show your travel in and out of Australia, and not travel to other countries.
Requests should be emailed to request.movement@homeaffairs.gov.au for records after 1981. Please ensure all required documents are submitted with your request. See Part E Checklist. Your personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988.

Under section 31 of the Archives Act 1983, access arrangements are required for records that are in the open access period (currently after 30 years).
Requests should be emailed to request.movement@homeaffairs.gov.au for records after 1981. Please ensure all required documents are submitted with your request. See Part E Checklist. Your personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988.
