What does it cost to join Air Cadets? There are no registration fees or dues to join the Cadet Program. Upon joining, uniforms and accoutrements are provided free of charge while you are actively enrolled in Air Cadets.
Requirements to become a cadet The following conditions must be met before you can be enrolled as a cadet: be at least 12 years of age and turning 13 or older in the calendar year of Acceptance; be enrolled in Higher School education (minimum year 7) in the calendar year of acceptance.
Uniformed volunteers are eligible to claim remuneration through Cadet Volunteer Payments. Generally, cadets parade once a week, with roughly 2-3 weekend activities a term. Some units may do a lot more.
