A transfer student is someone who has completed credit hours after he or she has graduated from high school. If you are in high school and have dual credit hours, you will need to meet freshman admission standards and have a 2.0 GPA in transferable coursework.
To be considered for transfer to Texas Southern University, students must have previously attended another college or university. They should have accumulated a minimum of 15 semester hours of college-level credits and maintained an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Freshman students, who graduate from out-of-state schools or home schooled, must meet one of the following minimum admissions criteria: Completion of Louisiana Board of Regents High School Core Curriculum; Minimum high school GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
