The Presidential Scholars program is open to Nebraska students who score between a 32-36 on the ACT or have an equivalent SAT score. It covers undergraduate tuition, fees, books and supplies, housing and food, personal expenses and transportation, and all other costs of attendanceplus a $5,000 annual stipend.
Since the minimum GPA for a full-ride scholarship is usually set at 3.0, a 4.0 is sure to always be above and beyond whats required. Heres how it can boost your chances: Academic Excellence: A 4.0 GPA demonstrates consistent academic excellence, making you an attractive candidate for merit-based scholarships.
Be a high school senior. Maintain a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. Show excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership, and community service. Plan to enroll full-time at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university.
Full-ride academic scholarship: Be at the top of your class with a great GPA, take AP/honors classes, and get perfect (or close to perfect) SAT or ACT scores. Along with academic merit, it also helps to also have leadership skills or community involvement (see below).
