An Act to make provision about nationality, immigration and asylum; to create offences in connection with international traffic in prostitution; to make provision about international projects connected with migration; and for connected purposes.
A person may be served with a one stop notice under s. 120 of the 2002 Act where: (a) they have made a protection [asylum] claim or a human rights claim, (b) they have made an application to enter or remain in the United Kingdom, or (c) a decision to deport or remove them has been or may be taken.
