What did the desert rats do?

The Desert Rats spent years in the desert defending Egypt from the Germans and Italians, who together were known as the Axis forces, during which they faced many battles. We travelled all the way from Cairo to Benghazi which would have been around 1000 miles, said John. It was a long way to go on sand.

What is the elevation of the Desert Rats 50K?

The 50K takes runners on the stunning Kokopelli Loops in the Mack Ridge area, with a bonus lap on the fast and fun Rustlers Loop, beginning at the Moore Fun Aid Station allowing runners to hit this Aid Station twice. The courses roll between elevations of 4,500 and 5,400 feet with over 3,400 feet of climbing.

Where is UTMB race located?

The UTMB is a 170km loop that takes runners through three countries; France, Switzerland and Italy. On many occasions the course goes above 2,400m in altitude as competitors follow the Tour Du Mont Blanc route. The race begins in Chamonix and heads anticlockwise to Saint Gervais, Les Contamines and La Balme.
