Do I need to fill out a form to enter Canada?

CANPASS allows members to clear the border faster when travelling into Canadian airports. This is an old program that has been replaced by the NEXUS program. CANPASS members can still use the dedicated line to clear customs more quickly.

Is CANPASS discontinued?

The CANPASS Air program for commercial airline passengers as well as the CANPASS Private Boats program for watercraft passengers were discontinued in 2018.

Can I fly into Canada without a CANPASS?

Going to Canada: CANPASS is still required. There is no need to contact U.S. customs on departure - eAPIS filing is sufficient. The pilot will need to contact CANPASS by phone (888) 226-7277 or (204) 983-3500, prior to takeoff in the U.S. and, again, by phone after landing prior to exiting the aircraft.

Does CANPASS expire?

Application process If you are accepted into the program, your membership will be valid for five years. If you are under the age of 18, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is also required. Complete and sign the CANPASS application form: Form E672.

How much is the CANPASS fee?

Financial information. There is a $40 fee for each applicant 18 years of age or older. There is a fee of $25 for each application for a temporary authorization to accompany a CANPASS membership cardholder.
