If you havent already, you would want to start filling out the eagle project work book. It stays fairly conceptual at first and acts as the first step in your project. You would have to get your unit, the beneficiary, and the council to approve your project before going and getting any materials.

How to get your Eagle project approved?

Complete, obtain approval signatures from Beneficiary, your Unit Leader and submit for Council Approval to the Scout Office. Any leftover materials and/or funds must be given to the beneficiary. Work on your Eagle Project may not begin until it has Council or District Approval.

How do you put on Eagle palms?

First, you can wear your Eagle Palm on the Eagle Scout square knot. Second, for special occasions, you can affix your Palm to your Eagle Scout Medal ribbon. Finally, you can pin the Palm to the Eagle Scout patch.

What are the odds of becoming an Eagle Scout?

After successfully completing an Eagle Scout board of review and being validated as an Eagle Scout by the National Service Center, a Scout can be recognized immediately with an Eagle Palm for each additional five merit badges they have earned, beyond the 21 merit badges required for the rank of Eagle Scout.
