How do I do calculations in a PDF? Upload the document to your account and open it in the Editor. Click on the Add Fillable Fields tab on the right. Select Formula. Open the Formula Builder to calculate a value. Click Save. Click Done.
Calculated fields can be specified through the Acrobat Sign authoring environment.Using Expression Builder to Specify Calculated Fields Drag-and-drop a field in the document. Type the calculation expression in the text field called Formula or click on the function button ( fx ) to bring up the Expression Builder.
By default, signature and initials fields are mandatory, as the red asterisk denotes. You can deselect the Required check box in the field properties if you want to make them optional. Each signer needs to have been assigned a required Signature field.
The first option requires you to select the action which will be sum and then you need to select the fields to sum. Highlight the field field name and press the space bar to select a field. In the Prepare Form mode, open the properties of the field and select the Calculate tab.

Select the form field, and do one of the following: To copy the form field to the center of the current view, choose Edit Copy, and then choose Edit Paste. To copy the form field and move it to another location on the page, Ctrl-drag it.
