For Veterans and Service members You may receive Veteran Readiness and Employment (VRE) (Formerly known as Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment) services to help with job training, education, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching.
VRE can be approved to cover any amount of tuition, in addition to any other school-related costs such as books, class supplies, and parking passes. However, unlike the GI Bill, you will not receive BAH but rather a flat monthly stipend. For those without dependents, the stipend rate is currently $653/month.
Veteran Readiness and Employment (VRE) The subsistence allowance is paid each month based on the rate of attendance in a training program (full-time, three-quarter time, or half-time), the number of dependents, and the type of training.
