What conditions automatically qualify you for LCWRa mental health?
Limited Capability for Work-Related Activity (LCWRA) group You can, however, be reviewed in the future or if your circumstances change. There are no conditions that automatically qualify you for LCWRA, although certain types of cancer treatment and issues relating to pregnancy may mean you qualify.
How do you score 15 points in a Work Capability Assessment?
Each descriptor has a number of points. The more difficult you find that activity, the more points you might get. For example, for question 1 if you cant move more than: 50 metres without help, you can get 15 points.
Do you get extra money if you have limited capability for work?
If you have limited capability for work, you can still claim Universal Credit but you will not receive any extra money.
How many points are needed on UC50?
In order to be entitled to Universal Credit on the basis of having limited capability to work and to be put in the LCW group you need to score at least 15 points in total. Or there needs to be a substantial risk to you or others if you were found not to have limited capability for work (see box).

For example: Someone with chronic pain may struggle to concentrate or take in instructions due to the level of pain they are in or due to lack of sleep due to pain.
