The ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) is the most prestigious science fair for high school students in the country, and its name is well known among colleges and the scientific community.

In addition to the top winners, approximately 600 finalists will receive awards and prizes for their innovative research at the ISEF (sponsored by Regeneron). View the 2021 ISEF Grand Award winners.
To compete at ISEF, a 9th-12th grade student must first win the honor through participation at a Society-affiliated fair. Each affiliated fair has a designated number of projects (individual or team) that they may support to come to ISEF.
From those millions, only approximately 1,800 students will advance all the way to receiving an invite to Intel ISEF. Intel ISEF will last roughly one week and at the end of that week only 600 finalists will be lucky enough to receive awards and prizes. 22 of those students will win the \u201cBest of Category\u201d winners.
