Preparing Tomorrows Faculty Program This course can serve as a replacement to the GTA Training if completed the semester prior to your appointment. Grad students in the Preparing Tomorrows Faculty (PTF) course meet weekly and engage in a learning community facilitated by Faculty Center staff.
Visit the Career Services website at career.ucf.edu for more information. All graduate assistantship appointments require full-time enrollment in a graduate program. Students who have graduate teaching assignments are required to complete UCF GTA training before beginning their assistantships.
Types of Assistantships Instructor of record for undergraduate courses in the specific discipline in which the student has the graduate-level expertise and 18 hours of graduate coursework (cannot be an instructor of record for graduate courses). Teaching-related duties under the supervision of a faculty member.
To qualify as a GTA Associate, students must complete the GTA Grader and Assistant online modules, as well as the GTA Associate online module in UCF Webcourses and attend a face-to-face workshop presented by the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.
