REQUEST a VEIP EXTENSION - A VEIP extension provides you with some additional time to have your vehicle tested. To request an extension on the myMVA eServices​, you must have the vehicle title number and the current vehicle tag number.
Vehicles that fail the emissions test must be repaired and pass a re-inspection at one of the centralized inspection stations. Motorists are given 120 days to have the vehicle repaired and return to one of the VEIP stations for a re-inspection.
