Community-based LTSS programs help older adults and people with disabilities live at home or in local settings. The result: better health and maximum independence. Community-based LTSS also provide help and encouragement to family members caring for older adults and people with disabilities.
To be eligible for Medicaid in Maryland, you must: Be a Maryland resident. Be a U.S. Citizen or a qualified non-citizen see Immigration Status Requirements and exceptions. Meet income limit for your coverage group.
Long Term Services and Supports target individuals over 65, individuals with physical disabilities, individuals with intellectual disabilities, chronically ill children, and individuals eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare (dual eligibles).
Adults age 62 years old or older who are residents in an assisted living facility, or approved for entrance into a facility and have entered into a service agreement with an Area Agency on Aging. Adults who are physically or mentally impaired and in need of assistance with the activities of daily living.
