HSA rollovers can be performed in a few different ways: Your old provider may directly transfer your funds and any investments to your new provider. Your old provider may ask you to sell off your investments and then transfer only cash to your new provider.
To complete the transfer in-kind process, please follow these steps: Sign Up for a Health Savings Account with HSA Bank. Enroll in HSA Invest in your online account. Fill out the Investment Account Transfer Form. Send the Investment Account Transfer Form to HSA Bank along with a copy of previous investment statements.
From your account Support page, complete the HSA Partial Transfer Out Request. Include the new custodians name and mailing address on the form. EFTs are not available for transfers. HealthEquity will mail a check for the elected transfer balance to your new custodian within three weeks.
A rollover is another way to consolidate your HSAs. It differs from transfers in that your HSA provider sends your current HSA funds to you and not directly to your new HSA provider.
Submit your requestwell do the rest You request a transfer. You can do this online now . Well ask for your assets. We contact your other HSA provider on your behalf. Theyll process the request. Your provider will then send us your assets, usually within 25 weeks. Well deposit your assets.
