Once the card has expired over 12 months the only way to re-enter the CPCS scheme is by completing: The Cskills Health, Safety and Environment Test.
You can do this online or by mailing the application form. If a fee is required, you will be sent an online link. Applications can be made 3 months before the expiry date. A Blue Competent Operator Card will be issued for five years from the last expiry date.
Renewing Your Card: To renew your card 3 months before it expires, you need to: Hold a valid CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card for the category you are renewing. Pass the relevant health, safety, and environment test within the last two years. Pass the CPCS CPD Renewal relevant to the categories you are renewing.
The CPCS Renewal test has 15 multiple-choice questions, and you have 15 minutes to answer them all. To pass the exam, you need to answer at least 12 questions correctly.
