Search for annual reports on GuideStar or the nonprofit's website. All nonprofits with $100K in annual contributions or over $250K in assets are required to file an IRS Form 990. The Form 990 is publicly available and can be found on the organization's page or on nonprofit databases such as GuideStar.
You cannot use Form 8868 to extend the due date of Form 990-N. An organization will only be allowed an extension of 6 months for a return for a tax year.
