The results of your initial USCG captains license drug test remain valid for six months. At Mariners, we recommend that students wait until the end of their coursework to take the drug test so they have ample time to complete their application and any other outstanding requirements.
Do I need 360 days to renew my MMC license? Yes. The Coast Guard looks at your documented Sea Days within the last 5 years based on when the application is submitted. For example: Lets say you had 355 sea days when your MMC expired, and they all happened in the previous 2 years.
