The North Carolina Early Intervention Section (NCEI) is a part of NCDHHS Division of Child and Family Well-Being. It is the lead agency for the North Carolina Infant-Toddler Program (NC ITP). The NC ITP provides support and services for families and their children, birth to three who have special needs.
Program Overview The goal of the project was to improve the quality and availability of care for children aged birth to three in North Carolina by supporting Early Care and Education Centers through coaching, mentoring and training. In August 2022, the project became the Birth-to-Three Quality Initiative.
