The pedigree must show the name and/or ear number, weight, and variety of the parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents (3 generations) of the animal being registered. (All ancestors in the 3 generations MUST be of the same breed as the animal being registered.)
The rabbit or cavy must be at least 6 months of age, and you must have a 3 generation pedigree for the animal being registered. The pedigree must show the name and/or ear number, weight, and variety of the parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents (3 generations) of the animal being registered.
The registrar will look over your rabbit and pedigree, and will weigh the rabbit and check for DQs. You will have to fill out an application form. If the rabbit is indeed found to be free of DQs and the pedigree is accurate, the registrar will tattoo your rabbit in the RIGHT ear.
Rabbit/Cavy being registered must have a complete three generation pedigree. ➢ Imported animals are not allowed on the pedigree unless name, ear. number, variety, and weight of said animal are listed. The word import alone is not acceptable.
All registered rabbits have a complete three-generation pedigree, but not all pedigreed rabbits are registered or eligible for registration. Registering rabbits is an entirely different thing than registering dogs. Pups born to registered parents are automatically registered themselves.

Ideally, your rabbits should be pedigreed. Theres a lot of reasons why I believe pedigreed rabbits are a good idea: You can list their awards on the pedigree, track down genealogy, find past breeders, and see registration information if your rabbits have been registered.
Saying a rabbit is pedigreed simply indicates that you have a record of its ancestors going back for 3 or more generations. In its simplest form a pedigree is just a family tree. A 3-generation pedigree identifies the rabbit, its parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.
FAQ Start by creating a pedigree chart template. Enter the name of the rabbit at the top of the column. Enter the gender of the rabbit in the gender column. Enter the date of birth in the date of birth column. Enter the name of the rabbits sire (father) in the sire column.
