How do I get a NATO clearance?
Upon confirmation of your interest, NATO will initiate your security clearance process. Your security clearance will be issued by your national authorities and not by NATO. The process usually takes between six to eight months. You are advised to follow the process through your national delegation to NATO.

NATO Certificate requests must be requested via the Sponsor portal by selecting other services and completing the appropriate fields. Sponsors can submit an application for a NATO Secret via their sponsor Portal by using the Other services tab and selecting Aftercare, request NATO/EU/ESA from the Vetting Service.
