After youve received your placard, you can park in any designated place for disabled parking in South Carolina. You can also park for free at metered street parking!
Vehicle Spaces: Accessible parking for cars must be at least 96 inches wide, with an access aisle of at least 60 inches. Width: Access aisles serving car and van parking must be at least 60 inches wide. Length: Access aisles must extend the full length of the parking spaces that they serve.
Persons using these spaces must have a valid handicapped plate or placard issued by the RMV. If a person using the spaces does not have one of these, they are subject to fines and/or penalties. Even brief idling in the spaces are for authorized plate or placard holders.
