Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (as well as either an ACT score of 21 or an SAT of 1080) and have been accepted for admission or currently attending one of the nineteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Universities.
The USDA/1890 Task Force serves as an advisory body for partnership initiatives and ensures the realization of mutual benefits and interests.
The scholarship provides recipients with full tuition, fees, books, room and board. Scholars attend one of the 1890 land-grant universities and pursue degrees in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or related academic disciplines. The scholarship may also include work experience at USDA.
