To be accepted into Grizzly Academy, prospective cadets must be: Committed to making a change in their life. 16 to 18 years of age on the first day of admission. A citizen or legal resident of the United States and resident of California.

How many credits can you earn at Grizzly Youth Academy?

Students may earn up to 60 credits during their 22 weeks in the program. Upon completion of the program, each cadet is given two sets of official transcripts to take with them.

How much does the Grizzly Youth Academy cost?

To date, more than 200,000 young men and women have graduated from the program. The program is offered free of charge to eligible candidates ages 16-18 in 39 programs operating in 30 states, districts and territories.

What are the three Grizzly Academy phases?

The Grizzly Academy program requires a 17 12 month commitment overall. This is divided into three phases: 22 weeks, or 5 1/2 months, for the Acclimation and Residential Phases (combined), followed by a 12-month Post-Residential period.
