You can pay your MSP invoice in person at a Service BC Centre. To make a payment you must have your MSP account number (e.g. X36012345678) from your invoice. Payments are accepted by cash, debit, credit card, cheque, bank draft or money order made payable to the Minister of Finance.
Each B.C. resident enrolled with the Medical Services Plan (MSP) is eligible for a BC Services Card with a unique lifetime identifier for health care called a Personal Health Number. This number remains the same, regardless of any changes to personal status.
Since your BC MSP will end on the expiry date of your current immigration document, you must take action to get health insurance coverage before your MSP expires. Without valid health insurance, you will need to pay for any health services. Check how to get MSP temporary coverage.
MSP will help pay for unexpected insured services you receive anywhere outside Canada and for any insured services you receive elsewhere in Canada, provided the services are medically required and performed by a qualified medical doctor.
