For USA athletes, those competitors must be at least 16 years old by Dec. 31 of the current season, must have a valid Competitor membership U16 or older, and be registered with FIS through U.S. Ski Snowboard. Athletes who appear on the FIS list are properly registered.

How much is a FIS license?

The Alpine FIS Late Fee Deadline is August 15, 2024. After August 15, the price for an alpine FIS license goes from $85 to $155. This deadline is for both renewing and new FIS athletes. Athletes must hold a U.S. Ski Snowboard Competitor membership to be eligible to purchase a FIS license.
