California law requires all students attending public or private school be vaccinated against certain infectious diseases to keep themselves and their classmates safe. The school must have a copy of each students vaccination record on file.
California schools are required to check immunization records for all new student admissions at transitional kindergarten (TK)/Kindergarten through 12th grade and all students advancing to 7th grade before entry. Parents must show their childs Immunization Record as proof of immunization.
