The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) is a nonprofit organization that gives youth in grades 4-12 the opportunity to compete in team and individual equestrian competition without the financial outlay of owning a horse. IEA offers competition across three disciplines: hunt seat, western, and dressage.
Level 1 Beginner: You have not sat on a horse before or only tried riding a few times. Level 2 Intermediate: You can ride a horse independently in all gaits and have tried jumping. Level 3 Intermediate Plus: You have experience of jumping single fences. Level 4 Advanced: You can jump a simple course.
