Medical and Personal Reasons for a Tennessee Promise Appeal To file an appeal, complete the Appeal to Reinstate Tennessee Form and submit it to the Financial Aid Office on the Macon Cove or Union Avenue campus. You can call the Financial Aid Office at 901-333-5960.
It will provide students a last-dollar scholarship, meaning the scholarship will cover tuition and fees not covered by the Pell grant, the HOPE scholarship, or TSAA funds. Students may use the scholarship at any of the College System of Tennessees 13 community colleges or 23 colleges of applied technology.
If your enrollment drops below full-time, or if you have an official or unofficial withdrawal date due to a documented personal hardship or medical reason, you may submit an appeal to keep Tennessee Promise to the Institutional Review Panel.
TN Promise: A student must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 or more credit hours) and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the end of each academic year (fall, spring, summer). Student must attend all courses until the end of the semester to maintain eligibility for the TN Promise Scholarship.
