For applicants 10-15 years old, the card will expire after 2 years. For applicants 16 and older, the IDNYC card will be valid for 5 years from the date the IDNYC application is approved. This expiration date will be printed on the card.
IDNYC Information Status Appointments are required. No walk-ins accepted. You may renew your card up to 90 days before it expires, and up to one year after it expires. If your card expired more than one year ago, you will need to apply for a new IDNYC card at an IDNYC Enrollment Center.
