What is the Tom Landry Award?

The annual Tom Landry Award, presented by United Heathcare, is given to a former Cowboys great recognized for their efforts on and off the field. Woodson, the Cowboys all-time leader in tackles with 1,350, played 12 seasons from 1992-2003. Hes a five-time Pro Bowler and helped the Cowboys win three Super Bowls.

How much was Tom Landry worth when he died?

The son of an auto mechanic, Tom Landry was born in Mission, Texas, in 1924. A star quarterback in high school, Landry enrolled as an industrial engineering major at the University of Texas at Austin, but World War II interrupted his education. Landry served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and flew 30 B-17 bombing missions.

Where is the Tom Landry statue?

A fighter pilot who flew more than 30 missions in World War II, Landry was an All-Pro cornerback with the New York Giants in 1954 before eventually entering the coaching ranks. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990 and to the Ring of Honor in 1993.

Did Tom Landry go to college?

Landry was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in May and underwent chemotherapy treatments in May and November. He was released Nov. 21 but returned to the hospital last month. He was with his family when he died.
