A NSW licensed Firearms Dealer will complete a P558 Register of Firearms in Possession form to confirm the firearm details for registration in NSW. The prescribed fee for firearm registration in NSW is $10 per firearm.
Both the Buyer and the Seller MUST BE PRESENT AT THE SAME TIME. Dealer Transfer (NSW or Interstate): Registered Owner must be present with their Firearms Licence, registration paperwork (can be original paper or digital version but must be printed) and the firearm.
This form is used for registration of firearms for interstate licence holders moving to NSW and for general amnesties. The fee to register each firearm is $10 and may be paid using the credit card authority. A NSW firearms dealer must identify each firearm and sign this form. The dealer may charge for this service.
