The state of Idaho requires a bill of sale to be completed for private party car sales. Idaho form ITD 3738 is the states official bill of sale form and needs to be filled out with the following information: Year, Make and Model of the Vehicle. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
If you are the titled owner of record in Idaho, you may apply for a duplicate or replacement Idaho title by completing an application for duplicate title and submitting the $14.00 filing fee.
A bill of sale is not required if the seller has entered the sales price on the title in a space dedicated for this information. Odometer Disclosure required for any transfer of a motor vehicle model year 2011 or newer and under 16,000 lbs. G.V.W. Disclosure must be entered on the title.
If you Purchased it through a Private Party, you will need: The Printed Title from the Owner/Seller properly signed off. A Bill of Sale from the Owner/Seller. The Vehicle, so we can perform a VIN inspection. Drivers licenses or IDs for all people on the title.
