Duties: The duty of the Second Vice Commander is to assist the Commander to provide programs and events for the enjoyment of our members, provide a source of fund raising and help attract new members.
First Vice Commander The First Vice Commander shall assume and discharge the duties of the office of the commander in the absence or disability of the post commander, or when called upon by the post commander. Membership shall be the primary assignment of the First Vice Commander. He/She is the teacher of Democracy.
In addition to the national commander and vice commanders, six national constitutional officers are appointed annually by vote of the National Executive Committee. They are the adjutant, treasurer, judge advocate, historian, chaplain and sergeant-at-arms.
Duties of the First Vice-Commander Shall assume and discharge the duties of the office of the Commander in the absence of, disability of, or when called upon by the Post Commander, shall be concerned with matters concerning the Posts membership, and shall perform such other duties as may be required. Section 3.
The adjutant is the personnel officer and personal point of contact for individual members of the post. The adjutant keeps membership records and minutes of meetings, assists the work of other officers and committees, and publishes official orders, announcements and instructions.
