The DDOT Reduced Fare Program provides eligible individuals with reduced fare rates for public transportation. Who is eligible for the Reduced Fare Program? Eligibility includes seniors aged 65 and older, Medicare recipients, and individuals with mobility challenges.
Free public transport, often called fare-free public transit or zero-fare public transport, is public transport which is fully funded by means other than collecting fares from passengers. It may be funded by national, regional or local government through taxation, and/or by commercial sponsorship by businesses.
Reduced fares are available for riders who are 65 or older or riders who have qualifying disabilities. Anytime except during weekday peak periods (6-10 a.m. and 3-7 p.m.). Anytime except weekday mornings from 6 to 10 a.m. (if traveling in the direction of NYC terminals).
