The fastest way to obtain a certificate is to go to a Vital Statistics office located in Anchorage or Juneau. If filled out correctly, many requests can be processed while you wait. "Under Alaska Statute 25.05. 261(a)(2) 1, anyone can perform your marriage ceremony, including a friend or relative, if they first obtain a marriage commissioner appointment from an Alaskan court as authorized by AS 25.05.
Application Requirements are as follows: o Both parties must present Government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license, state-issued ID, passport, military ID, or Tribal/BIA card). Anchorage Vital Records Office, or an Alaska Courthouse if outside of Juneau or Anchorage.

7. Cost. a. A minister, priest, or rabbi of any church or congregation in the state, or by a commissioned officer of the Salvation Army, or by the principal officer or elder of recognized churches or congregations that traditionally do not have regular ministers, priests, or rabbis.
Once you have submitted your application and have given all of the necessary legal information, you can get your marriage license on the spot. You will, however, need to wait three business days for the application to fully process, and the license expires after three months, so just keep that in mind.
