The N5 Notice to Terminate the Tenancy can be given to tenants for: Substantially Interfering with another tenant or the landlords enjoyment of the residential complex and/or lawful rights, privileges, or interests; Damages; or. Overcrowding.
N6 Notice to End your Tenancy for Illegal Acts.
You must provide the landlord with your notice no later than 30 days after the landlord gives you the standard lease. In either case, you must provide the landlord with a written notice to terminate the tenancy at least 60 days before the last day of a rental period.
An N6 notice is a Landlord and Tenant Board form that is given by a housing provider to a tenant to end a tenancy for illegal acts or for misrepresenting income in rent-geared-to- income (RGI) housing.
The proper form is the N9, a tenants notice to terminate the tenancy. For most tenancies, you must give minimum 60 days notice and the date you are moving. The 60 days is between the date you signed the N9 and the date you listed as your termination date. You do not need to say why you are moving.
