An Adult Carer Support Plan (ACSP) is an opportunity to discuss with the local council what support or services you need. This will look at how caring affects your life, including your physical, mental and emotional needs, and whether you are able or willing to carry on caring.
Developed through a Person-Centered Planning Process (), the ISP collects information concerning personal preferences, dreams and wishes, medical history/current medical concerns, and communication preferences.
Personal care supports relate to assistance with daily personal activities including assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life. For example: personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming. toileting, bladder and management and menstrual care.
A support plan should detail the support youll have and how it will help you live life. It should refer to the specifics of your direct payment, ie how much it will be and what it will be used for. Support plans should include any informal (unpaid) support that family/friends are able and willing to provide.
Carer Support Payment is the same amount as Carers Allowance. Eligible carers will be paid 83.30 per week. You can choose to either be paid this amount every week, or you can choose to be paid every 4 weeks. If you decide to be paid every 4 weeks you will receive 333.20 at the end of every 4 weeks.
