How do I apply for an AIC payment?

Submit your claim Download and complete the Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC) Claim form. Then submit it online. If you can't submit it online you can print and complete a claim form.

What is AIC funding?

If your child is unable to attend a local government school because of geographical isolation, disability or special needs, you may be eligible for help through the Assistance for Isolated Children scheme (AIC).

How much is the AIC payment?

The maximum payment rate for 2022 is $4,278 per year. The payment is made at the beginning of each school term. Parents who receive a Disability Support Pension or Parenting Payment (single) can apply for the Assistance for Isolated Children Pensioner Education Supplement, which is $62.40 per fortnight.
