The Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners requires, for every license renewal period, 30 hours of continuing education for licensed dentists and dental hygienists in Maryland (MD).

If it is your first time renewing, and you are renewing before your license expires, you are only required to fulfill 15 hours or 1.5 CEUs. If you are past your expiration date, then you need the full 30 hours.
All licensed RDHs in California must complete 25 CEUs every two years and RDHAPs are required to complete 35 CEUs. Up to 50% of CEUs can be completed in non-live settings (home study, webinars, etc.). For complete details on CEU requirements, visit the Dental Hygiene Board of California (DHBC).
Is a live, interactive webinar considered live instruction? Yes, it is. Only one-half of a licensees required C.E. units may be earned through the use of correspondence courses such as video-recorded courses, audio-recorded courses and home study materials.
