The answer to the question depends on the state rules and regulations for the license(s)you hold. Some states allow you to obtain all of your required continuing education (CE) online or through self-study courses; others limit the number of hours you can earn through these options.
Ethics CE BCBA and BCaBA certificants are required to obtain at least 4 continuing education units (CEUs) covering ethics content in every recertification cycle. Acceptable ethics content must cover ethical issues in behavior-analytic practice or research. Ethics content should relate to the BACBs ethics requirements.
You would then complete two years (24 FULL months) of post-LSW, post-MSW supervised social work experience, during which time you complete at least 3000 hours of work in a social work setting, and at least 150 hours of face-to-face training supervision with an LISW-S.
All OCSWMFT licensees are required to renew every two years on the date of issuance.
A minimum of 3 of the 30 hours must be in ethics every two-year licensing period. LISW with supervisory status are required 3 hours in supervision every two-year licensing period. SWA are required 15 hours every two-year licensing period.
