The Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Venerable Michael J. McGivney to provide a means by which Catholic men could support the Catholic Church, provide financial protection to protect their families and engage in works of charity to benefit the less fortunate.
Through the Knights of Columbus Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP), councils, assemblies and youth programs adopt one or more seminarians or postulants and provide them with financial assistance and moral support.
