Currently, this is only important to understand if you are converting your pistol braced, imported firearm to an SBR, if you are leaving it in the pistol configuration, 922r should not affect you.
Instead, 922r requires that theres no more than 10 imported parts out of a list of 20 parts. This means that 922r compliance requires counting up the foreign parts in a firearm (or a planned firearm) from the list and then replacing them until there are less than 10 from the list from a foreign country.
In the entire history of 922r, not a single private citizen has been prosecuted for a standalone 922r charge. There have been instances of 922r as a tack-on, but only after serious other problems.
Federal law does not limit the number of guns a person may buy in any given time period. However, federal law does require federal firearm licensees (FFLs) to report multiple sales of handguns to ATF and other specified law enforcement agencies.
Exceptions to the Requirement to Comply with 922(r) This includes: Licensed manufacturers who assemble such rifles or shotguns for sale/distribution to the United States, any of its departments or agencies, or any State and its departments, agencies, or political subdivisions.

Currently this rule doesnt apply to pistols, but if you have a pistol braced gun that you are submitting to the ATF to become an SBR, 922r becomes something that matters to you. While our current US made ZF-5s would be compliant, some of the older guns we imported from Turkey may not be.
