If your privilege to operate your personal vehicle is revoked, cancelled, or suspended due to alcohol, controlled substance or felony violations, you will lose your CDL for 1 year. If you are convicted of a second violation in your personal vehicle or CMV you will lose your CDL for life.
The only way to get a CDL A while in the army is typically hold an 88M slot. And then typically you have to have 3 years experience before your CO will sign a memo to take to your DMV. The best thing to do is use your GI Bill to pay for CDL school. You will get better ( smaller classes) training.
