U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is issuing policy guidance in the USCIS Policy Manual on the transition from accepting paper-based forms of payment to accepting only credit or debit cards and the new Authorization for ACH Transactions (Form G-1650). This guidance becomes effective October 28, 2025.
There are, however, limited exceptions. Most applicants for nonimmigrant visa interview waivers will be required to attend in-person interviews after September 2, 2025. For certain nationalities, these changes are effective immediately and without exception.
On Jan. 31, 2024, USCIS published a final rule that, for the first time since 2016, adjusts certain immigration and naturalization benefit request fees. With the final rule, we can recover our operating costs more fully and support timely processing of new applications.
From 10 March 2025, the experience requirement for migrants will be 2 years, instead of 3 years. This means that if your job check application included an experience requirement that is: more than 2 years, you can only hire migrants who meet this requirement.
