The fitness test plays into your class rank so its important to do well. Men need a 10:59 1.5 mile run, 60 sit-ups in two minutes, and 30 push-ups on cadence. Women need a 12:45 1.5 mile run, 60 sit-ups, and 20 push-ups.
For the endurance qualification, an individual will be required to run/walk 1.5 miles. The run / walk may be completed on a pre- mapped course or on a treadmill.
Failure to meet these standards may result in immediate disenrollment. For optimum health, attain a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 18.5 and 24.9.
The Coast Guard Physical Fitness Test It consists of: Push-ups: 29 within 60 seconds for males, and 15 for females. Sit-ups: 38 within 60 seconds for males, and 32 for females. 1.5-mile run: A time of 12:51 or less for males, and 15:26 or less for females.
12-Minute Swim* (02) Push-ups and sit-ups must be performed within a one-minute time period. (03) Either the 1.5-mile run or the 12-minute swim may be performed to meet the standard.
