Civil suits may be filed in District Court when the amount claimed does not exceed $100,000. The filing fee for a civil suit is $83. The District Court does not provide forms to file a civil suit. Cases must be filed in the county where the defendant resides and may be filed in any one of the four divisions.
Fees. Name change fees are $58.50 plus $203.50 auditor recording fee. As part of the filing fee you will be provide three certified copies of the name change order. Each additional copy is $5.
Complete a Will Repository Cover Sheet, bring the completed sheet and the original will into the Superior Court Clerks Office. The fee to file a Will into the repository is $20. If you add information, such as a Codicil, you must pay another $20 fee.
Commissioner Ex-Parte: Heard by the assigned commissioner in Courtroom 1B, first floor, Courthouse; Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-10:15 a.m.; and Monday, 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.; and Tuesday-Friday, 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
