Be at least 18 years of age. Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational certification. Complete 1,000 hours of training at a licensed school approved by the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology. Successfully pass both a written and practical examination.
An inactive license can be renewed/restored provided the license has been expired for less than five (5) years by submitting the renewal application through your online portal along with the required fee. This application and fee are non-transferable and non-refundable.
