Expression of Interest You dont need to include any evidence with your EOI. If your EOI meets our criteria, itll be entered into a selection pool. EOIs are drawn fortnightly from the pool, and it would normally take INZ anywhere from 1 to 5 weeks to invite you to apply for New Zealand residence.
Your EOI is an official submission to Immigration New Zealand. Any information you submit may be used when considering your current or future applications.
Once EOIs are selected they go through a checking process. Checks generally take around 2 weeks. After we check your EOI you will either be invited to apply for residence or advised if your EOI will be declined.
The easiest way to create an EOI for residence under the Skilled Migrant Category is to submit one electronically by logging into Immigration New Zealands Online Services (.immigration.govt.nz).
This means to be invited to apply for one of these visas, you need to meet or exceed the points threshold of 65. As you work through your EOI you will be asked for information about your personal, educational and professional background. This information contributes to your points score.
